Our crew of Makers, have some real treats prepared for Milan, including:
Chair Hacking Workshop

We will Invite people to bring their own chairs, and locally found materials, then hack, modify and up-cycle them.
Swap Shop
Prototyped at Transmediale by Trial and Error and Open Design City, the swap shop operates on the principle that there is more value to be exchanged than Money alone. Participants are given the opportunity to make the following exchanges in return for clothes and handmade products:
Goods: Exchange other goods in exchange for the product you desire, at certain times of day food, and drinks are also valid methods of exchange.
Time: We will put you to work, you may be reclaiming yarn from old jumpers, maybe producing wallets from old milk cartons, or running errands on our behalf.
Knowledge: We invite you to run your own workshop, sharing knowledge and experience that you consider valuable with the residents of Milan.
Money: Really, have you not left that behind already? If you want to deal in this currency, prices will be calculated based on your hourly rate.
Make Design Public
“Hunters” will search the Milan Design Fair for interesting projects to Open Up, we will then reinterpret these designs using the tools we have at our disposal. If you’d like to be a “Hunter” please get in touch
Action Weaving

Travis will be building a l from reclaimed timber on Day 1, after that you can come and learn to weave, and also use his laser cut looms to produce your own scarves.
Concrete Workshop

From Street Furniture to Vases, come and learn how to produce your own objects from concrete with Regis and Anna
Digital Fabrication Workshop

Do it Together
